Of Monsters and Men merupakan band indie folk / band pop indie dari Islandia, yang dibentuk pada tahun 2010. Para anggota co-singer/guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, co-singer/guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson, gitaris Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rosenkranz Hilmarsson, dan bassist Kristjan Pall Kristjansson.  Band ini memenangkan Músíktilraunir pada tahun 2010, sebuah pertempuran tahunan kompetisi band di Islandia. Pada tahun 2011, Of Monsters and Men merilis sebuah EP berjudul "Into the Woods." Debut album  "My Head Adalah Animal" (2011), memuncak pada Nomor 6 di chart US Billboard 200 album chart dan Eropa juga tercapai. Lead single nya "Little Talks" merupakan  kesuksesan diajang internasional, mencapai Top 20 di lebih dari lima negara dan No 1 di AS Songs Alternatif.

Of Monsters and Men merupakan pemenang European Border Breakers Awards, 2013 . The Border Breakers Eropa Awards memberikan penghormatan kepada karya musik pendatang baru terbaik di Eropa. Upacara penghargaan berlangsung di festival musik Noorderslag EUROSONIC di Groningen (NL).
Gaya musik mereka telah sering dibandingkan dengan kelompok indie seperti Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, dan Edward Sharpe dan Zero Magnetic.
